In fact, at present they produce between 60 - 90% of GDP of the whole country. The purpose of this article is to explore the most recent research studies dealing with the family business and summarize their main findings and limitations. This is done by using a method of literature review of the available sources exploring the issue of family businesses in the acknowledged databases, a method of metaanalysis of the selected studies, and a method of comparison and evaluation of their findings.
