Opožděná setkání funkcionalizmů? / Zuzana Jettmarová. -- Resumé: Belated encounters of functionalisms? Surprisingly, western functional/ist theories of translation seem to have been reduced to the Skopos theory in some recent international handbooks, while, on the other hand, East-European functional theories have been mostly overlooked or misinterpreted due to their linguistic inaccessibility or for any other reasons. Comparing Levý and Popovič to Skopos and Polysystem in selected theoretical and methodological aspects, it becomes evident that recent initiatives in and calls for East-West confrontation may impact further developments of mainstream TS.
