The functioning of the modern family is often accompanied by a variety of issues which have a negative impact on its structure, stability, fulfilling its main tasks and the quality of the relationships between the family members. Increasingly, we find families which require help, support or care from the individuals and institutions representing the social welfare system. The appearance in a family of difficulties relating to improper carrying out of the basic parental duties by adults often results in arising of the necessity to provide the children with care in foster care environment.
