It is a model class that is focused on efficiency and performance evaluation of the set of decision making units. DEA models are based on solving linear programming problems, and in order to evaluate efficiency of a particular unit one linear optimization problem must be solved. That is why decision makers need a specialized software tool that allows an efficient repeating of the optimization run because the number of units may be quite high. The paper maps the current situation in commercial and non-commercial software for analysis of efficiency using DEA models. In addition an original tool that allows solving DEA models in MS Excel environment is introduced. Conspect 004.4/.6 - Programování.
