The method is based on calculation of the models´ value in the set of companies without financial problems, and in the set of companies that were forced to close down their activities. The financial data was drawn from the financial statements in the period of 2008 and 2012. The greatest reliability in the prediction of bankruptcy was found of the model IN05 which indicated problems two and three years before in 74 per cent of the cases. The least success in prediction the failure one and two years before has proven of the model Z-score. The results imply a question of suitability of this model for the current conditions of the Czech economy and encourage the efforts to create the new models.
