Prejudice as an unreasonable dislake and distrust of people who are different in some way from others arises from the contact between various nations and cultures. Being conveyed by words, lots of stereotyped expressions are integrated in the vocabulary of a language, especially in its phraseological stratum. This research is focused on the semantic and etymologic analysis of some prejudices appearing in Italian language. L'obiettivo del presente articolo è quello di offrire una breve analisi degli etnonimi contenenti un semema valutativo. Il pregiudizio nasce dal contatto tra nazioni e culture differenti. Una volta veicolate dalle parole, molte espressioni stereotipate vengono integrate nel corpus lessicale, particolarmente nel suo strato fraseologico. Lo studio è focalizzato sull'analisi semantica ed etimologica di alcuni etnonimi funzionanti nella lingua italiana.
