Productive and unproductive activities in the EU / Marek Litzman. -- 1 tabulka. -- Abstract: Inspired by Willam Baumol’s thesis on unproductive entrepreneurship, this paper discusses three topics that may lead to the Baumolian unproductive zone. Baumol expects that the overexpansion of unproductive activities can lead to the decline of certain civilization. Rather than decline, this paper focuses on possible reasons of economic slowdown in the European Union. In our view based on Baumol ideas, among them may be expanding legislation, patent law or European funding system. -- Dostupné též v elektronické podobě.
