During the pre-accreditation period while the curricula are being produced the writer discusses the low number of compulsory English subjects compared to other optional courses. She is concerned with the reduction of linguistic, literary courses and translation and interpreting practice and she realizes that the curricula will have to be elaborated once the training has revealed the shortcomings of those prepared at present.
